Edwards Gardens Family Portraits

I had the opportunity to shoot portraits in Toronto’s historic Edwards Gardens for this lovely family. The parents were celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary and the portrait session was a gift from their children. I hadn’t visited Edwards Gardens since 2016, and the recent renovations are charming and suit the contemporary aesthetic of the nearby Toronto Botanical Gardens. I love visiting this park as it always reminds me of my first few visits in 2008 for my sister’s wedding. It ended up hailing the day of the wedding… in August!

We made sure to get a variety of group photos throughout the park, shots of the parents alone, and also individual portraits with the children and the parents. With my guidance, the family chose complementing sweaters for a cozy yet chic early Fall vibe, and the father and son were so well coordinated that they even wore the same pair of pants! Two out of three partners of the children were able to join us as well. Enjoy!
